Ο Άνθρωπος της πόλης αποτελεί μία νέα, διαφορετική διάσταση της ιστορίας που εκτυλίσσεται στην τρίτη ενότητα του δίσκου μου Fairy tales, όπου εμπεριέχεται το ομώνυμο μουσικό θέμα.
Αφορμή για τη δημιουργία της ήταν η ανάγκη μιας άλλης προσέγγισης του Ανθρώπου της πόλης, πιο συμμετοχικής και διαλoγικής, προσέγγιση που ζυμώθηκε με την συνεργασία καλών φίλων, οι οποίοι κλήθηκαν να συνομιλήσουν με την αρχική αρμονία, ή τα μέρη της σύνθεσης της πρώτης ηχογράφησης.
Το σημαντικό ήταν να παρουσιάσει ο καθένας μας τη δική του αναπαράσταση για τον Άνθρωπο της πόλης, να σκιαγραφήσει την εικόνα που αντικρίζει, όταν ξετυλίγει το νήμα μέσα στο λαβύρινθο της λαμπερής και μελαγχολικής πόλης που μας περιβάλλει.
Η περιέλιξη του μίτου, όπως αντικατοπτρίζεται στη μουσική, έδωσε κάτι βαθύτερο από το προφανές. Αυτό που δεν μπορούμε ή δεν θέλουμε να περιγράψουμε με λέξεις…
Όνειρο και πραγματικότητα, αυθορμητισμός και ελευθερία έκφρασης που αντί να συγχέουν, συνθέτουν, συνδέουν ένα πάζλ ανόμοιων φωνών και αισθήσεων…
Για αυτό και τόσες εναλλασσόμενες, προσωπικές, οικείες αλλά και απόκοσμες, συν-αντηχήσεις, στοιχεία που μας οδήγησαν, πέρα από το αρχικό έρεισμα, σε νέους ατραπούς δημιουργίας.
Η μέθεξη μας μετουσιώθηκε σε αυτή τη νέα μουσική που μοιραζόμαστε.

The City Man constitutes a new, different perspective on the story narrated in the third section of my album fairy tales, where this music theme first appeared.
What lies underneath this new story is the need to approach the City Man theme in a more participatory and dialogical mode; in this the involvement of good friends has been rather crucial, for they were called to converse with the initial harmony or certain parts of the composition, as it appeared in the first recording. The idea was for each one of us involved in the project to present his/her own representation of the City Man, to sketch the image he/she faces, when unraveling Ariadne’s clew in the labyrinth of the bright and melancholic city around us. The unwinding of the clew, as represented in and through music, results in something deeper than the obvious; something that exceeds words and language…

The blending of dreams and reality, spontaneity and freedom of expression link and bring together – rather than confuse- a puzzle of different voices, feelings, sentiments. It is on this basis that what is generated is a vast array of alternate, personal, familiar, but also eerie participatory echos, elements that led us to fresh footpaths of creation, beyond the initial foothold…

This fresh, openly participatory project is therefore nothing more than the transmutation of our communion as city people…
